About Param

Param (Parameswari Krishnamurthy) is an Assistant Professor at the Language Technologies Research Centre, IIIT-Hyderabad, specializing in Computational Linguistics. She leads a dynamic research group focusing on Machine Translation systems and linguistic resources for both major and low-resource Indian languages. Param and her team explore the intersection of linguistics and computational methods to build AI solutions enriched by language understanding. She is actively involved in developing linguistic tools and applications. For instance, Machine Translation tools such as Tamil-Telugu neural MT and Sanskrit-Indian language MT are developed through key governmental and academic collaborations.
